The team

A team you’ll know by name.

Seven clinicians, trained across Canada, Australia and the UK, with more than 60 years of practice between them. Each one works with you one-on-one for the whole appointment. Behind them, a front desk team that handles your booking and insurance so you don't have to.

    Shafeen Hirji

    Owner · Physiotherapist

Shafeen graduated from UBC in 2005 and has spent his entire career in Port Coquitlam. He opened Station Physio in 2018 with a clear vision: personal, evidence-based care under one roof. His approach combines manual therapy, IMS, acupuncture, and exercise prescription, with a particular interest in complex cases and pre- and post-surgical recovery. After two decades, he still treats every day.

“I love the complicated cases, the ones that haven't responded elsewhere. Careful assessment, honest communication, and collaboration with other providers is how we get people better.”

He has a particular strength in lower back conditions and vestibular rehabilitation, and is our TPI Level 2-certified golf physiotherapist and the go-to for anyone whose game is being held back by their body.

Canadian-born and Taiwanese, he's fluent in Mandarin and brings a background in powerlifting, bodybuilding, and acrobatics, which gives him a deep understanding of movement from everyday function to peak performance.

“I treat every client the way I'd want to be treated. A collaborative approach with open communication, honesty, and realistic expectations.”

  • Stephanie Haddad, physiotherapist at Station Physiotherapy in Port Coquitlam

    Stephanie Haddad

    Physiotherapist

Sport took Stephanie through every field and gym in Port Coquitlam. A few injuries along the way, which is how she found physiotherapy. She completed her Master of Science (Physiotherapy) at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh in 2025, building a strong foundation in hands-on manual therapy and evidence-based exercise prescription. Now she's back home, treating the community she grew up in.

"I want to understand what motivates my clients. Working together, my goal is an individualized plan that gets you back to the activities that are meaningful to you."

  • Avery Elrick, kinesiologist at Station Physiotherapy in Port Coquitlam

    Avery Elrick

    Kinesiologist

Avery grew up right here in Port Coquitlam playing hockey, soccer, and lacrosse. He completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology at UBC in 2023 and holds a Sports Science diploma from Douglas College. He works with post-injury patients, athletes returning to sport, and anyone looking to move and feel better through evidence-based exercise programming. He runs our ICBC active rehab programs, working hand-in-hand with your physiotherapist.

“I work to understand what each client actually wants to get back to, then build everything around that.”

  • Ivory Johnson, physiotherapist at Station Physiotherapy in Port Coquitlam

Ivory grew up in Coquitlam playing rugby and learned through her own injuries just how important proper rehab really is. She completed her MScPT at the University of Alberta in 2017. Her hands-on approach combines manual therapy, dry needling, and corrective exercise, with a special interest in women’s pelvic health, sports and orthopaedics.

“I take the time to really get to know my clients and make rehab approachable and enjoyable. My clients can expect to leave their first appointment with a clear understanding of the problem and realistic solutions to address it.”

Erin completed her Master of Physical Therapy at UBC in 2014, backed by a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a national championship with the Langara Falcons in 2008. Having navigated her own rehab after sports injuries, she knows recovery from the patient's side of the table and it shows: patient, empathetic, and honest about the road back.

“I want every client to feel heard and genuinely involved in their recovery, creating a treatment plan that fits their goals and lifestyle. From your first visit, you're part of our Station family.”
