Kinesiology & active rehab

The part where you get strong again.

One-on-one sessions in our gym with a kinesiologist who stays beside you the whole time. Not a program printed on a sheet. Not a room where you are left to figure it out.

Physiotherapy settles the injury. Kinesiology makes sure it holds.

Strength that holds

Capacity built back deliberately, so the injury does not keep returning the moment you push.

Corrected as you go

Someone watching every rep, adjusting load and form in real time rather than handing you a printout.

Back to your thing

The league, the trail, the job. Programming built backwards from what you actually want to return to.

What a session looks like

Assessed, corrected, progressed.

Every session starts with movement. Your kinesiologist watches how you move, finds what is restricted or not firing, and builds the session around it. Then you work: mobility, core, strength, and when you are ready for it, power and plyometrics.

They are beside you for all of it, correcting form and adjusting load as you go. That is the difference between active rehab and a gym membership. Nobody is guessing, and nobody spends six weeks doing the wrong thing well.

You will also be asked what you actually want to get back to. Not a generic goal, the specific thing: the league, the trail, the job, the grandchild you want to lift. Everything else is built backwards from that.

Who books this

After an injury

You are out of pain but not back to full capacity. This is the bridge between finishing physiotherapy and trusting your body again.

After a car accident

ICBC pre-approves 12 kinesiology sessions alongside your physiotherapy, within 12 weeks of the accident.

Back to your sport

Return-to-sport programming for athletes and for anyone whose season, league or training has been on hold longer than they would like.

Every age and every starting point. We work with competitive athletes and with people whose goal is getting up off the floor without help.

ICBC covers 12 sessions.

Within 12 weeks of a motor-vehicle accident, ICBC pre-approves 12 kinesiology sessions on top of your 25 physiotherapy sessions. No referral, no approval to chase, and no user fee. Most people do not realise the kinesiology sessions are a separate entitlement, so ask and we will set both up together.

$7545-minute one-on-one session

Five sessions for $300, which is one session free. A set block with a defined end, not a subscription. Extended health rarely covers kinesiology, though a few plans do, so it is worth a call to your provider. We will give you a receipt to submit.

Direct billed to ICBC · No user fee

Before you book

How is this different from a personal trainer?
A kinesiologist is trained in rehabilitation, not just fitness. The programming works from your injury history and your physiotherapist's findings, so it accounts for what your body can currently tolerate. And it happens inside a clinic, so if something is not settling, your physiotherapist is in the next room.
Do I need to see a physiotherapist first?
Not necessarily. Many people come straight to kinesiology. If you are recovering from a specific injury, a physiotherapy assessment first usually makes the programming sharper, and for ICBC claims we will often run both together so it stays one plan rather than two.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on where you are starting and what you are working towards. You will get an honest estimate early on, with a defined endpoint rather than an open-ended commitment. Five-session blocks are available if you would rather book ahead.
What should I wear?
Gym clothes and training shoes. You will be moving the whole session.
Is this in a gym with other people?
You are in our gym space, and your session is one-on-one throughout. Your kinesiologist is with you the entire time.

Working alongside your physiotherapist

Our kinesiologist holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology and is a member of the BC Association of Kinesiologists.
Same building, same plan, nothing handed off and re-explained.
